00:00:44: Yeah well i will try make it short and sweet because ive had that company for thirty two years now.

00:00:56: when i started business there was no fashion week.

00:03:35: And she stood out many years ago... I don't know, eighteen or something like that.

00:03:43: Then my ex-husband had half of his shares and maybe thirteen years ago bought he's shares.

00:03:54: Und in der Zeit, wo man die Hand auf das Boiling-Platte hat, ist es so, dass ich alles in Ruhe habe.

00:04:04: Ja, oder in meinen eigenen

00:04:08: ich glaube, dass ich ein Punkt in meiner Karriere

00:04:12: habe, bei dem die Firma eigentlich ziemlich klein war.

00:04:17: Und es ging dann runter.

00:04:21: Wir haben einen neuen Weg zu sagen – ich weiß nicht, ob man das international ist, aber es könnte auch eine Böse sein oder so.

00:04:37: Das bedeutet, es könnte in einem und anderen Weg gehen ... Man wusste nicht, dass man die Chance hatte und die Instinkte gefolgt hat.

00:04:53: Das war wirklich ein turning point für mich.

00:04:55: Ich musste mir nachdenken, was mein Ziel war.

00:05:01: Was waren die wichtigsten Themen in meinem Leben?

00:05:08: Und was haben wir mit der Firma gemacht?

00:05:15: both within the design phase, but also like what kind of business place do I want to offer?

00:05:23: To people working here.

00:05:25: What kind of environment should it be?

00:05:28: how do i wanna position myself with in the distribution at that time ?

00:05:36: I think that banks had too much power over my life.

00:05:44: How could Changed that position so I would take back the power and control over my life.

00:05:52: And how will they do it?

00:05:53: So, It was a time where i spent lot of hours thinking like How to wanna create a life that felt satisfying for me.

00:06:07: Wow.

00:06:08: So, if I understand it correctly and this is of course very interesting... ...it's not a curve like the development of your company.

00:06:17: that's like linear just going up.

00:06:19: so you had really ups-and-downs as i understands.

00:06:23: yeah It's a good thing about almost being sixty years old.

00:06:32: there's nothing ever linear.

00:07:00: And I think for me, i have decided my own narrative about my life so the challenging that are meeting can be annoying for sure but they're always therefor purpose and every time I face something that annoys or is difficult.

00:07:29: Was ist meine Erfahrung mit dem Bild?

00:07:30: Und wenn du das erste Begriff anstatt, dann geht es nicht so, dass es so geht, weil du wissen, dass wenn du nach unten gehst oder zurück gehst, sondern vor Ort gehst.

00:07:45: Es ist, weil man etwas lernen muss und dieses Bildungsprozess Es ist eine Necessarität für den nächsten Schritt.

00:07:56: Und wenn du das machst, mit den Herausforderungen, ich fühle, dass all die Probleme, die ich habe und fahre immer, wir handeln in Hand.

00:08:20: Es war nicht so ein Freericht.

00:08:23: Aber ich denke, es ist nicht wegen dem, sondern wegen der, wo ich jetzt bin.

00:09:07: ein sehr wichtiges Thema gesagt und das ist eigentlich etwas, was uns beiden einen großen Interesse hat.

00:09:16: Du hast schon gesagt, dass es ein female Empowerment ist.

00:09:20: Was ist eigentlich deine Definition?

00:09:23: Und du hast auch ein paar Aktivitäten erwähnt, was du in terms of a female empowerment machst.

00:09:28: Vielleicht willst du dir auch etwas mehr über das erzählen, weil das hier auch sehr interessant ist.

00:09:34: Ja, was ist already your commitment?

00:09:37: Ich würde sagen, es ist ein Kind von einem Commitment.

00:09:40: Was sind die Committments des Montes?

00:09:45: Of course everything in the company reflects me, because I own a hundred percent of the companies.

00:09:51: So i definitely lead them to the company and take decisions And that's mostly good thing.

00:10:03: When I was a kid my mom was single mom too.

00:10:09: she didn't have any money at all.

00:10:10: so for many years we had help every Christmas for like a gift and chocolate and porks, stuff like that.

00:10:20: And I think the memory of me and my older brother holding hands standing in a queue was in the big sports community to have somebody support us.

00:10:37: it has really ... It's on my bones.

00:10:41: so Ich fühlte immer, dass ich, wenn ich backen könnte oder etwas zurückgeben würde, dass es für mich geblieben wäre.

00:10:57: Und ich habe das seit einigen Jahren gemacht, aber vor zwei Jahren, zweieinhalb Jahre, war ich in einer Meeting.

00:11:07: In a female institution, it was actually the old queen or the mistress of the king.

00:11:16: She made a foundation that's called Dana and its place where when you are victim to domestic violence.

00:11:31: Und ich war in einer Meeting da, weil wir für sie ein paar Donaten gemacht haben.

00:11:40: Wir waren bei der Meeting und den Lesen zu diesen Frauen, die sich so viel für andere machen und natürlich etwas über was es ist wie in Afghanistan oder Afrikanischen Pläne.

00:11:55: Und nach der Meeting, als ich auf der Strecke stand, habe ich von jetzt an gelesen, dass ich noch zehn Prozent meiner Profit vor dem Taxi zum female empowerment bin.

00:12:04: No question to ask.

00:12:07: So we're doing that for the second year now and I mean, putting your money with a mouthpiece or what is the motto of it?

00:12:20: It's quite a lot this year.

00:12:22: We are going donate in euros.

00:12:32: Empowerment purposes, ja.

00:12:35: And so we choose all kind of organizations where we empower or feel that they empower women from education.

00:12:44: domestic violence like what do you call it kids?

00:12:51: give female school kids, when they have their period.

00:12:58: So that you can still go to school.

00:13:00: Education, women... Yeah, menstruation kids and girls talk where if your young girl has anxiety or nobody wants to talk.

00:13:10: so you call them for free.

00:13:11: a lot of NGOs more established companies where we support them Und das ist ein guter Teil von nur alles selbst, dass ich nicht jemandem fragen muss.

00:13:26: Wir machen es einfach.

00:13:29: Und auch seit mein... Meine Firma macht wirklich sehr gut finanziell, was für mich auch ein Ziel war.

00:13:42: Das bedeutet, wir haben Geld zu tun und die Kraft zu tun.

00:13:46: Ich denke, das hat für mich sehr wichtig gewesen.

00:13:48: Very nice to

00:14:08: Nicht nur einmal, aber auch wirklich etwas aufzubilden, was du eben erwähnt hast, weil natürlich... Ich meine, eine Menge female Empowerungen sind jetzt seit Jahren da, aber wir sind noch nicht... finished with this task.

00:14:25: There's a lot to do and so I'm very happy that there are few out there like you donating, putting money into it because of course also needs money really supporting already girls but also women who definitely can need support.

00:14:43: Laya Because i mean your also doing fashion.

00:14:46: what would u say?

00:14:47: What is actually the role of fashion when we talk about empowerment?

00:14:51: Was ist die Konnex für dich persönlich?

00:15:03: Weil ich sehe, was ich in deinem Brand sehe, weil ich deine Branden sehr oft wearte.

00:15:10: Das ist für mich zumindest eine Art Fasche, die wirklich auch der Kraft unterliegt.

00:15:22: Let's call it being a sexy girl, but its being strong woman which me at least in your brand is always the big thing.

00:15:30: What do you take on that?

00:15:32: Well I think i've always felt like It was two separate things to be honest.

00:15:40: I don't ever consider women should feel more empowered.

00:15:49: Ich denke, das ist nicht der Fall.

00:16:05: Also, ich glaube, dass es nicht gegeben ist, dass man sehr verabschiedet wird und andere Menschen auch verabredet werden.

00:16:21: So, but I think that the platform that i have.

00:16:27: The successful company platform gives me an opportunity to highlight the female empowerment in a more concrete way by giving money away and donating like making collabs where Und ich denke, dass auch, wie wir hoffentlich, ein Rollmodel für junge Mädchen sind.

00:17:03: Wir wissen alle, dass Frauen-Unterpreneurs nicht so komisch sind.

00:17:09: Ich hoffe, dass die jungen Mädchen mich sehen und sagen, sie haben es wirklich gemacht!

00:17:19: So, it gives them the feeling that they can make as well.

00:17:25: And also in a way we support female artists is very close to my heart to highlight on their platforms every week because there are so underpaid in comparison with men.

00:17:43: The short answer for your question I think of my company at two different levels is what it is.

00:17:51: But the platform that I created, which can be used to make an impact on the female empowerment... That's another step for me!

00:18:02: Yeah and this so important Let us talk a bit more about business because we are here also in The Liters Academy.

00:18:12: What would be your ultimate Business Tip you share with our community?

00:18:17: Ich weiß, es ist ein Klischee.

00:18:26: Aber ich würde immer sagen,

00:18:30: frag dich, was das Worte hätte passieren können?

00:18:41: Weil ich denke, unsere Bräne sind natürlich... Ich denke immer auf alle Fälle und die schlechten Dinge, die passieren können.

00:18:55: Wir sind wahrscheinlich nur so geboren.

00:19:00: Wenn man in der Savanne lebt ... In den Busch war es eine gute Strategie zu denken vorhanden.

00:19:08: Aber ich denke, wenn du das machst ... Was ist das Wichtigste, was passiert?

00:19:15: Es ist eigentlich nicht so schlecht.

00:19:17: So, I think that the gains about taking risk of starting a company or doing something is much higher than potential risks.

00:19:28: And to my experience you are often more successful then you would think and you will often much more often than you think achieve success or risk.

00:19:48: And I can say that because of my many, many years in business all the mini-mene hours have spent thinking oh my god this is not what if it's a failure and they don't just do it.

00:20:02: after that i'm like oh!

00:20:04: That was easy no big deal.

00:20:06: why did I worry so much?

00:20:10: Das war unnötig.

00:20:23: Wenn du heute ein Brand von Zero startest, mit der Erfahrung hast du jetzt, was würdest du anders tun oder was würdst

00:20:36: du nie wieder tun?

00:20:37: Was du vielleicht als Mistakulier gemacht hast.

00:20:43: The first ten years of my business, I didn't care that much for the finances.

00:20:51: That gave me a lot of headache and at one point we were almost going bankrupt.

00:21:01: We just made it but was very close And i had to be honest with myself did not know what was going on.

00:21:12: And I, and i was just saying to myself ,I'd just have to learn to look at like a revenue or the numbers .And I've never been good at numbers in school at all!

00:21:28: I need a calculator for almost everything but in all kind of aspects.

00:21:41: So if I was to go back, i would definitely say pay more attention to that.

00:21:46: but the funny thing is we just achieved what you call like a board company A year ago Like a sports brand.

00:21:58: so it feels like starting all over again and its...I've learned alot But still for me there's lot Woops, thinks that.

00:22:09: Oh I didn't see that one coming or oh my god does it have to be so difficult?

00:22:15: So in a way i'm start...I think maybe like if you had two children and they become teenagers And certainly get the what we call it the one like fifteen years after That.

00:22:27: you know the drill but You still get surprises on.

00:22:33: some of things are quite hard.

00:22:35: Ich denke, es ist auch weil die Zeit geändert hat und die Welt geändert wurde.

00:23:09: And everything else actually changed so much.

00:23:12: starting again now or thirty-two years later or thirty one years later with your seventy days active.

00:23:19: the brand is called right?

00:23:22: It's a different scenario.

00:23:31: One question from the community was also, Denmark very often is seen as a role model when it comes to for example equality but also for female leadership.

00:23:44: What do you think?

00:23:45: How does this look in real life?

00:23:49: Do you see like that

00:23:53: Ich bin sehr sicher,

00:23:54: dass ein Teil meiner Erfolg ist, weil ich in den Dänemark bin.

00:24:05: Ja, ich glaube so.

00:24:06: Ich fühle mich sehr, sehr privilegiert, auch wenn es eine Bombeerode war und ... Und natürlich, es gab viele Jahre, in denen alle gesagt haben, sie ist nur eine blonde Frau mit einer Niedel.

00:24:23: Was kann sie denn tun?

00:24:25: Ich habe das ein paar Mal vermittelt, aber wir haben einen royalen female Leader.

00:24:32: Mein Herr Minister ist female.

00:24:38: Wir haben viele female leading Examples, die können wir auch anschauen und ich denke, dass wir generell lot about gender equality.

00:24:51: So I think that Denmark has been one of the best places to start off as a female entrepreneur, i think

00:25:01: very interesting.

00:25:03: yeah what do you think can other countries learn from Danmark?

00:25:07: What is was would be your idea?

00:25:10: so dad's?

00:25:16: because I mean the whole social structure.

00:25:23: The one thing that maybe can keep women away from starting a business is the insecurity of children, maternity leave financial security all this it cannot get help.

00:25:42: stuff like Denmark ist eine der... Wenn du in den Diensten fährst, wird jemand dich holen.

00:25:51: Wir haben eine hohe Social Security-Net, die dich holt.

00:25:56: Und ich denke, das soll viel mehr Intervenöse geben als wir sie jetzt sehen.

00:26:02: Denn wenn alles falsch geht in Denmark, dann bist du sicher.

00:26:09: Ich glaube, dass in Deutschland ... No matter how wrong thing goes, you don't have to sell your house.

00:26:19: And new kids can still take an education and go to the dentist stuff like

00:26:23: that.".

00:26:25: That's a huge difference from I think almost all over the world.

00:26:31: Yeah very interesting!

00:26:33: We have quite high social standards in Austria & Germany as well but yeah maybe it is even better in Denmark especially for women.

00:26:42: Ja, zum Beispiel für mich.

00:26:44: At the moment I'm actually doing a new setup in my properties and i am selling something.

00:26:52: consider to buy some thing.

00:26:55: you need money from the bank And im not married and have kids and I am self employed.

00:27:12: Also

00:27:12: vielleicht wäre das in Danmark auch anders?

00:27:15: Ich

00:27:15: weiß nicht.

00:27:16: Vielleicht sollte ich ein Haus in Danemark kaufen.

00:27:23: Okay, very interesting.

00:27:25: There is another very deep question or let's say an interesting question.

00:27:33: one of the participants thinks that many brands lose their soul when they grow which I can totally relate with.

00:27:41: and what it actually in your journey along this journey, not to lose the soul but still keep that because it is one of the most important factors managing a brand.

00:27:58: What

00:27:58: would you say?

00:27:59: I definitely think its beacause.

00:28:01: i own it.

00:28:03: If you have investors they will have totally different approach in business part and so so close connected to the creativity and design.

00:28:20: So i think that's one of things I really like about this company here, it is just me taking decisions.

00:28:28: we can do whatever but if somebody comes up with a good idea ask the board or the owners, co-owners of a bank.

00:28:47: We can just do it.

00:28:49: and I think that if you have a lot investors they are thinking about getting their money back with a promenue.

00:28:58: so in that case i think alot good ideas would be shut down because no this is not a good idea.

00:29:07: its not financially.

00:29:10: Aber in meiner Erfahrung, als wir so gut gemacht haben... Ich denke, das ist weil die Möglichkeiten und Risiken wir nehmen.

00:29:23: Das macht den Unterschied für uns.

00:29:30: Wenn du zu commercial bist ... Du wirst dich in eine sehr schwierige Position bringen, weil die Konpetition so stark ist.

00:29:40: Also musst

00:29:42: du immer etwas Risiken von Zeit zu Zeit versuchen?

00:29:47: Ja, natürlich.

00:29:47: Es

00:29:49: könnte aber auch einen großen

00:29:51: Impakt geben.

00:29:52: Man

00:29:56: sollte es failen!

00:29:58: Ja.

00:29:58: Ich meine, wenn du nie failst, dann hast du nicht den Risiko genommen.

00:30:02: Es ist unmöglich um einen Erfolg zu erhöhen ohne Risiken zu nehmen und du kannst keine Risiken nehmen, ohne Verlust von Zeit nach Zeit.

00:30:15: So nice and hard to hear!

00:30:17: Ja, aber ich glaube, was gesagt habe in dem Beginn, dass du mit den Problemen und Risiken kommst.

00:30:26: Und du musst Du musst entscheiden, dass sie deiner Freundin sind.

00:30:34: Sie werden dich vorgehen.

00:30:39: Einstein sagte etwas sehr brillantes über die Fähigkeiten, dass es absolut notwendig ist, um forwardzunehmen und ich erinnere

00:30:49: mich.

00:30:50: Ja, das ist wahr.

00:30:53: Talk a bit about your leadership style.

00:30:56: There's also one very interesting question about that, because leadership definitely is an important business factor especially in challenging times and you already mentioned at the beginning today.

00:31:09: of course we are living in challenging time.

00:31:12: what keeps YOU motivated?

00:31:14: And also what tools do you maybe use or whatever it is to motivate your team?

00:31:20: I mean you talked about thirty five people.

00:31:22: What would you say, what keeps your all motivated?

00:31:28: Well the thing is that when I look back.I don't think that i've always been a good leader and im not saying that I'm an... I don't consider myself as in rank from one to ten.

00:31:43: Im not a ten liter.

00:31:44: I don´t think so.

00:31:46: maybe I am an eight now but I have definitely just been four or five ten twenty years ago.

00:31:54: Und ich denke, das ist weil ich nicht von der Leadership oder von ... Ich habe keine Bildung genommen und so.

00:32:04: Also habe ich einfach mit meiner Personalität geleistet.

00:32:07: Und es war definitiv, dass ich etwas mehr wie ein hartes Rock vorhin hatte.

00:32:12: Also hatte ich viel zu lernen zu tun.

00:32:15: Aber ich war interessiert in eine bessere Version von mir selbst.

00:32:21: Und ich würde immer versuchen, mich selbst in der anderen Stelle zu bringen.

00:32:29: Denn es ist in meinem Interesse, die Leute aus A und B gehen.

00:32:37: Wenn ich sie motivieren möchte, kann ich das in den besten möglichen Fall machen?

00:32:43: Ich musste sich daran denken ... So, so if she wants me to do things differently or handle jobs differently.

00:32:59: What is the best way for her to say it to me?

00:33:03: That was my approach and I would say that It doesn't necessarily come natural.

00:33:14: In den vielen Jahren fühlte ich mich wie ein Mann oder eine Frau.

00:33:23: Aber als ich älter geworden bin, habe ich mich für das Team und für die Dinge, die wir zusammenleben.

00:33:36: Und ich glaube auch, dass es in der Situation ist, wo ich am meisten glücklich und glücklich bin ... in meiner Interaktion mit meinem Team und meinen Kollegen
